I’m passionate about basketball and helping not just the youth but individuals with their basketball journey. I have a good amount of experience with the ins and outs of the game of basketball. I’ll be bringing my own level of experience and coaching style. My philosophy is the most important aspect. Train hard, Work hard and the reward will hopefully be to “Make the #League”
Mengis Hiyabu is a Montreal native who moved to London, Ontario and now resides in Guelph, Ontario. He gained the love of basketball at a young age. Mengis was always one of the shortest players on the court but never played like it. He played his high school basketball career at John F. Ross. Even though he played at a smaller school, through his dedication, work ethic and perseverance, his coaches and others made sure to be aware of this. In terms of his HS and REP career, he gave it all he had and went to play in the OCAA where he only played for 1 season.
Currently Mengis is helping the community by not just training individuals with the game of basketball but as well as motivating others with their aspirations. “#League is not just a basketball term but it means to shamelessly reach your highest potential”
